Looks my Walmart will almost ignore ranger toys this time too.

I went to my walmart on black friday, and saw no mmpr toys at all.

No, pegs were full of rpm's. Wave 1 figures, rapid pursuits, guardians, and the new bikes.

Not a megazord in sight for rpm either.

To anyone that lives Near, are in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana Area: I have found the MMPR 2010 Megazord at a Target in Millerville on Exit 6 you can't miss it b/c you can see it from the Interstate heading toward Hammond it just before you leave the Baton Rouge city limits. I spotted three I grabbed one for my friend ShukuenShinobi. The Price for it at Target is $21.79 and a Walmart is $27.79 (the taxes were high on mine) so Target is cheaper. There's now only two left if I were you hurry over there and grab them. They Also have the MMPR 2010 Figures and some RPM Figures on the shelves also. So Good luck on the Hunting Friends!

I am so looking forward to watching the original episodes and getting the toys. I just wish I lived in America cos I have to wait until 2011 here in Britain.

There isn't one in the current line. Maybe in the Spring.

I hope so. I've wanted my own morpher since I was four years old.

Ruined, no, not at all, it's all the same content. The same campy MMPR we love.

This is more akin to taking a neat song, and overlaying a crappy techno beat to it. It's still the same song, just with a nice layer of shit attached to it.

That was slightly obnoxious. I'm not quite sure why they decided to turn it into a comic book. It reminded me of the old Adam West Batman cause when they would hit someone we got the sound effect words on the screen. What really confuses me is that they redesigned the logo (which naturally meant redoing the morph sequence) and yet when they went to commercial and came back they used the original MMPR logo.

Logic would tell me that they did the commercial bumpers and banner before the new logo was developed, which would actually surprise me, as the new logo has been around since October-ish. But that would be my only guess as to why they did that. I actually think the new bumper before the morph sequence is one of the best things they did, design wise. In fact, I'm curious if the new logo was Bandai's doing or Disney's doing.

I didn't mind the little banners that named the main villains and the zords, but it became irritating in Episode 2, where the new monsters weren't named, yet the Tyrannosaurus was. We only need things labeled once, that's all Sentai ever does. The freeze frame flash backgrounds are annoying as crap, and the constant frame spinning and shaking isn't necessary. The commercial bumper we got was "alright" but a bit long for a commercial bumper. The "zing, bam, pow" effects, where do I even begin. I don't particularly mind them. If they're re visioning PR to be comic booky, that's fine. But damn it, do it right. Pick a consistent font, make the effect worth while, not just a simple "pow" in plain font that you can't read.

Basically, I'm glad MMPR is back on the air, it's nice. While some of the edits were neat in my mind (The comic book labels, the green glow on the space shuttle bomb thing, the new lightning bolt before the morph.) most of them were just absurd (freeze frame flash backgrounds, really lame word effects.). I almost wish that animated PR thing would have happened more than this. Almost.

Sure, it's goofy. Sure, it's campy. But look at it this way, they're turning a new generation of kids onto Power Rangers and maybe, just maybe, they might rethink about their decision for ending the series and bring it back.

If Bandai America decide to put new morpher toys into production and the second season is aired, would the make a white ranger power coin?
I assume they would just need to make just the coin and replace it for the Dragonzord coin.

Just as a heads up, the only known "morpher-ish" releases are the Mix & Morph base, and a morpher that's included in one of those Red Ranger playset things. There isn't an actual "Morpher" toy yet. However, if there is, I guarantee it won't be a re-release of the old one.

Well, if they release new ones, I do hope they do one thing and that's increase the sound in them. That has always been my biggest complaint about the morphers that Bandai brings out here. The sound volume in them in severely lacking. I mean, you get the Sentai version and their loud and in your face. Then, you get the American version and the sound is so tiny that you can barely hear it. Even if it makes them cost just a bit more, a better sound chip or something would make them so much better.
